TOR INTERN HOURS 2013

TOR did not keep records of committee hour credit for Parade Ops and Formation Committee. So members for those committees were given full shift credit by Alexa Rabanes & Allison Wang, board members who were of those committees.
Social Media Comm. hours remain the same as the ones entered in February. (Entered by Michelle Lee)

Post Parade hours entered in February included meetings and the first work day. The second work day hours have been added. (first day=9 hours, second day=11 hours, meeting hours vary by attendance, entered by Michelle Lee)

TOR hours count as AGS hours!
TOR is apologetic that records were not kept for some of the committees. TOR & AGS will work towards improvements for the next TOR internship 2014.

ALSO, Banquet Committee and set-up hours will be put up Tuesday at the earliest.

Internship Info

AGS MEMBERS- this is the internship mentioned during PM. You would not get AGS hours or CS hours for this BUT if you are still interested in trying out this internship go for it! Let the executive board know you’re interested. You may email the email provided below for this internship yourself!

AGS is not specifically endorsing this campaign- We are merely offering an internship we have heard of to you all! :)

Hi! My name is Ysabel Jurado and I am currently working for the John Choi for Los Angeles City Council in District 13. There is an important race which is ramping now and ends May 21, as the person will sit on LA City Council for the next 8 years which is also important because we as Angelinos and Americans need a progressive voice on City Council like John. John has broad based support from various groups but especially the labor community. If he is elected, he will also be the first Korean American elected to LA City Council ever and the only Asian American city council member since 1993.
We are looking for students that are committed to getting involved in the political process – no matter their major. We are offering a very competitive internship in which students must commit to 8 hours every week until the May 21st election. If a student speaks multiple languages that is a plus! They will be involved with volunteer recruitment, donor/competitor research, voter contact – a whole host of skills which encompass campaign life.
For your efforts, John himself will give you a letter of recommendation. If he is elected, then you’d have an LA City councilmember’s letter of recommendation which may be used for future job/volunteer/internship prospects as well as for college/university applications!!
We need all the help we can get to make sure this moment in history is not lost!
Feel free to contact me via email at Ysabel.jurado@gmail.com or by phone at 626-379-8650.
Best,
Ysabel Jurado

I’m running for city council in District 13 because we need to break our city free of the grip of special interests and make it work for residents again.
