The PURPOSE of this event:
"to provide foster youth a safe space to ask questions about anything they wish, anything they fear, anything they want to have changed, and to give them an opportunity to truly connect with staff in state government, DCFS, higher education, community organizations, mentors, and above all connect with resources that would help them break the barriers that are preventing them from fully succeeding".
VOLUNTEERING includes setting up the event, registering guests, directing guests, monitoring workshops, serving breakfast and lunch, and cleaning up.
BEFORE APRIL 30, please register for the event at this link for what shifts you would like to do:
*Please make sure to WRITE your name and ID clearly on the sign-in sheet when you ARRIVE and LEAVE. Hours will not be given to those who do not check in and out on the sign-in sheet.*
